The Plane of Dreams: A Flight Full of Hope ✨✈️
Every great mission is born from a great story. And ours began with a little warrior named Julián.
My name is Georgina Romero, and for more than 15 years I’ve been a volunteer, first at AMANC and then in various spaces where I was able to provide support to children with cancer. But in April 2019, my life changed forever when I met Julián at the Federico Gómez Children’s Hospital of Mexico.
His smile, his courage, and his love for airplanes marked us forever. From the first day, we created a special bond, one that transcends time and space. His joy was greater than his illness, his spirit soared higher than any obstacle. But in November of that same year, Julián spread his wings and took his own flight to heaven.
His passing left us with a void impossible to fill, but also a mission. Because Julián didn’t leave, he left us a legacy: the inspiration to change lives.
That’s when the Plane of Dreams took off, with the unconditional support of my family. From the very beginning, my father Jorge Romero was by my side, sustaining this dream with his love and commitment.
On December 16, 2019, we fulfilled our first dream. Since then, we’ve flown with a single purpose:
💛 That no child in their fight against cancer loses the opportunity to dream.
💛 That every child remembers that their life is bigger than the disease.
💛 That hope always has a place in their heart.
🛫 Since then, we’ve been the driving force behind dreams.
We provide comprehensive support to children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years old diagnosed with cancer and blood diseases anywhere in Mexico.
Because when a child falls ill, their fight isn’t just medical:
💛 It’s emotional, because they need to know there is hope.
💛 It’s familial, because every hug counts in the battle.
💛 It’s financial, because illness not only puts their health at risk, but also the stability of their home.
And although we can’t change their diagnosis, we can change their days, fill their hearts with hope, and remind them that they are not alone in this battle.

🔹 Payment for surgeries, medical tests, and prosthetics, so that every child has access to what they need.

🔹 Plane or bus tickets so children can travel to their treatments without worry.
🔹 Delivery of food supplies and support for their families, because we know that the fight against cancer affects everyone at home.

🔹 Moments of relaxation, where they can forget about their illness and simply be children.
Since February 22, 2020, we have been established as a Civil Association, and in August 2023, we took a further step by becoming an authorized donor, allowing us to expand our reach and continue touching more lives with our mission.
